I don't blame you for being a Thor girl, can't go wrong with him. ;)

Hey, fancy seeing you here again. ;)

Good job! Hands down my fave is ac #7. Great color in the texture, the character in the foreground bright and rich in contrast. I like it!

(pssst You still have to pay attention to the aspect ratio... some of them look warped. Do you need hints on how to make sure the aspect ratio is kept?)

Thanks, that was actually one of my favorites when finished with it.

(Yeah, still having a problem with that, I try. But my program is a challenge for it. Would love hints, those and any type of help or hints are always welcomed. It's just hard to learn in my program.)

Would love hints

I'm happy to help. Let me know what program you have, and maybe i can whip up a tutorial?

That would be awesome and most welcomed if you could. :)

I currently only have and use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 and PhotoFiltre 7. Since I can't really figure out good sizing in the Corel, I use PhotoFiltre for sizing.

OK, I found some tutorials for both of those.

1) Photofiltre has a checkbox in the resize dialog that says "preserve aspect ratio"

If you work with selections on the image (not through dialogues), holding the SHIFT key will make sure that the aspect ratio of your selection stays the same - very practial for making a square (=icon-formed :)) selection.

2) PSP PhotoX2 has a) a checkbox in the advanced settings and b) that small "lock" icon in the resize dialog that both do the same: "lock aspect ratio"

Just for completeness's sake, a link for this, too:

Let me know if you have already been doing that (-> i.e. if we need to look at other steps in your process which may skew the aspect ratio).

Generally: in all programs, I would first crop the image. And only in the second step resize it to icon size.
